In February 2011 a Spanish-language version of the app was released.^[1] In 2010 the app was available in less than a dozen languages, in 2011 it was available in more than 200, and today it is available in more than 500^[2] with the number almost doubling in late 2011.^[3] The app is distributed at no cost to users and is available on all smart phone devices.^[4] The company has stated its goal over time is to produce an audio Bible in every spoken language^[2] and the costs to produce the New Testament in a new language is acquired through public fundraising.^[5]
